About the Lord Mayor's Multicultural Round Table

The Lord Mayor's Multicultural Round Table was established by Lord Mayor Campbell Newman in 2005. It is chaired by Mr Nick Xynias, Honorary President of the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland, with Co-Chair Mr Michael Chan, Chairman of the Chinese Club of Queensland.

The Round Table provides an opportunity for Brisbane's multicultural community leaders to raise issues and concerns. Increased avenues for economic advancement are also discussed and explored with Brisbane's business leaders, decision makers, opinion leaders and key stakeholders.

The Round Table includes representatives from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and works with many multicultural groups in Brisbane to promote inclusive business.
