Latest News

On Wednesday, 13 May, the Lord Mayor announced the formation of a fundraising committee dedicated to raising funds for the restoration of City Hall. The committee has been named the City Hall Heritage Conservation Appeal Committee.

City Hall was built during the 1920s and is a busy venue offering world class facilities for the public through community activities, concerts, conferences and citizenship ceremonies. It is also home to the Museum of Brisbane.

In 2010 City Hall will  close temporarily for three years while critical structural, fire, electrical and heritage work is undertaken.

Right now, City Hall is open for business as usual. Find out what’s on at City Hall and how you can get involved in the City Hall restoration.
