Avenues of Honour

An Avenue of Honour is a living memorial of trees that honours and remembers Australia's fallen servicemen and women. You can read Brisbane City Council's Avenues of Honour Research Report which documents 24 plantings in Brisbane.

Naval Stores

The Naval Stores Maritime Centre at Kangaroo Point closed in June 2004.

You can still see some of the collection at the Queensland Maritime Museum Link leaves Council's website at the southern end of South Bank near the Goodwill Bridge.

Council is currently working on plans to preserve Queensland and Brisbane's naval history.
