	COMMUNITY SUPPORT VIEWING: HOME / COMMUNITY SUPPORT / GRANTS AND AWARDS Grants and awards Brisbane City Council's grants programs provide funding to help local non-profit community groups to develop and improve services in Brisbane. Lord Mayor's Helen Taylor award for local history The Lord Mayor's Helen Taylor award for local history honours the work of the late historian, Helen Taylor. Lord Mayor's 2010 Australia Day Awards Reflecting the spirit of Brisbane 150, the Lord Mayor's Awards will be directed at our unsung heroes. Nominate someone special that you know. Community Grants Program The Community Grants program provides funding to local non-profit community groups to improve and develop services in Brisbane. Community Support Funding Program The Community Support Funding Program provides financial assistance to community groups, that provide benefit Brisbane residents, who are facing financial hardships. Creative Sparks The Creative Sparks program funds creative projects and professional development for artists in Brisbane. Cultivating Community Gardens Grants Program Enhancing the city of Brisbane’s sustainability and liveability by providing funding to local non-profit community-based groups and organisations to establish, develop and maintain community gardens on Council owned and other land. Lord Mayor's suburban initiative fund All Councillors are given funds to support local projects and help build stronger communities in Brisbane. Environmental Grants Program The Environmental Grants program provides funding to community based groups or organisations who address local or citywide community environment issues. Lord Mayor's Australia Day Awards winners Find out the Lord Mayor's Australia Day award winners. Lord Mayor's Young and Emerging Artists Fellowships The Lord Mayor's Young and Emerging Artists Fellowship supports young and emerging Brisbane artists aged between 17 and 30 to develop their careers. Men's Shed Grant The Men's Shed Grant supports and provides funding for the Brisbane group. School sport and recreation facility upgrade This program provides financial assistance to Brisbane state schools to fund the upgrade of existing school sport and recreation facilities. Senior citizens' funding program The Senior Citizens' Funding Program helps senior citizens' groups to cover the cost of activities such as social outings and Christmas parties. Wildlife Carer Funding Program The Wildlife Carer Funding Program is a new initiative that provides financial assistance to groups involved with the rehabilitation and release of orphaned, sick and injured native wildlife within the Brisbane City Council area. Lord Mayor's Sustainability Grants Council's Lord Mayor's Sustainability Grants offer funding for energy audits, solar hot water systems, insulation and more.
