The Filming Approvals Liaison Officer is Brisbane City Council's 'one-stop-shop' for your filming and photography needs.

To apply for a filming permit in Brisbane, download and fill out the two forms below:

Resident/business notification letter template (Word - 28kb).
You need to have Microsoft Word or Microsoft Word Viewer installed on your computer to view or print this document.
The notification letter:
- must be completed by a representative of the production company
- is a condition of approval
- is used notify residents and businesses of filming activities
- must be delivered to affected residents and businesses no less than four working days prior to filming
A complete resident/business notification letter, must be sent with the Filming in Brisbane Application form or the permit may not be granted.
Submit your application
a copy of the application form and notification letter must be emailed to Council's Filming Approvals Liaison Office.
07 3403 8888 and ask to speak to the Filming Approvals Liaison Officer if you:
- cannot open the forms or have problems printing or emailing the forms
- need to discuss other approvals or permits you may require before filming
Temporary lane or road closure
If you want to close a road, lane or Council parking bay for filming, you need to:
- fill out a road clearance application form, make sure the applicants name is the same as the applicants name on the film approvals form
- provide a detailed map of your proposed road or lane closure
- obtain approval from the Queensland Police Service
- find out more about temporary lane or road closure and download application forms
