Market permits

A family walking through Southbank to the craft markets.Approval from Brisbane City Council is required to operate markets, including farmer and craft markets. The level of approval required is dependant on a number of factors such as the:

  • location, land ownership or tender conditions
  • type of markets or goods being sold
  • frequency of the markets

Types of approval

The different approvals may include, but are not limited to:
