Secret of the Cardboard Rocket - (children's show)

Embark on an outstanding adventure as two children spend a night touring the solar system alongside their ship's navigator, an astronomy book.

Astronaut

Actor Ewan MacGregor narrates "Astronaut" - a stunning new show about the hazards and training faced by astronauts. It features spectacular scenes inside the human body, out in space and in training facilities. Produced by the National Space Centre, UK. Approximately 40 minutes.

Saturday Night "Live":

Brisbane Planetarium astronomers take the audience on an exciting “live” fulldome spaceflight. Chart a course through the wonders of the Solar System, past the most distant space probes, beyond the stars that form the familiar constellations, and on to the outskirts of the Milky Way galaxy. Getting there

The Planetarium is located within the Brisbane Botanic Gardens - Mt Coot-tha. It is a 15 minute drive from the city centre. The main car park and entrance is off Mt Coot-tha Road, Toowong. Free on-site parking, including disabled and bus parking, is available.

You can catch a bus to the Planetarium. From the city take bus 471 or the Great City Circle bus (598 or 599) from various suburbs. For public transport information visit TransLink leaving council's website .
