Every bus on the road means 70 less cars, so Brisbane City Council bus operators help make real improvements to our community.

Working as a full-time or casual bus operator, you’ll enjoy flexible hours, job security, full training and competitive pay with applicable penalty rates and allowances.

You can apply, if you have held an Australian car licence for three years, have a good driving history and you’re good with people.

Brisbane Transport also offers traineeships for bus operators including completing a Certificate III Transport and Logistics (Road Transport). If you complete the Traineeship and meet Brisbane Transport’s performance standards, you may be offered a permanent position.
