Eco Development Advisory Service

Brisbane City Council's Eco Development Advisory Service (EDAS) has been established to provide advice and assistance about sustainable development to residents, builders and developers.

Through services such as the EDAS, Council is responding to the growth-management challenges facing Brisbane by promoting a built environment that is appropriate to our lifestyle and natural surroundings.

Sustainable development

Sustainability should be integrated throughout all stages of any development process starting from design and planning through to construction, operation and occupancy. Council’s EDAS officers bring together knowledge of these planning and design processes to advise on how to make sustainability integral to the development process.
