Solar hot water reward vouchers

A $50 voucher is available upon registration as a Green Heart Home (select 'register' on the top right hand corner), reducing Brisbane City Council’s standard $111 plumbing inspection fee to $61. 

Conditions apply to the solar inspection fee discount voucher, including:

  1. The discount voucher applies to homes replacing a gas, electric or solar hot water system with a new solar hot water system or heat pump.
  2. All systems must be installed between 1 July 2009 and 30 June 2010 by a licensed plumber.
  3. The new replacement system must be installed in a residential property. If rented, the property owner must authorise installation.
  4. The premises must be located in the Brisbane area and the owner must pay rates to Brisbane City Council.
  5. Resident must register as a Green Heart Home member.
  6. One voucher is available per installed solar hot water system.
  7. By law the solar hot water system or heat pump must be inspected by a Council Plumbing Inspector.
  8. The $50 voucher applies to the Council’s plumbing inspection fee only.

The voucher is available to all residents who install a solar hot water system or heat pump, either independently or as part of the Queensland Government's solar hot water program Link leaves Council's website.
