Become a Your Say member
Your City Your Say is made up of 13,500 Brisbane residents who are interested in having a say about Brisbane's future. We call it Council's 'community reference group'.
Your City Your Say members receive information about citywide and local projects and can have a say about important decisions affecting our city.
What it means to be a member
Your City Your Say membership is free and open to everyone.
You'll receive regular newsletters, updates about projects and how to get involved. You'll also receive regular invitations to participate in Council's consultation activities including:
- forums and workshops
- member nights
- pilot projects
- discussion groups
- surveys
- online discussion forums
If you provide an email address, you'll also receive regular email bulletins and opportunities to participate in online consultations.

How to join
To register as a Your City Your Say member, please send us a email.
Members will receive the Your City Your Say newsletter by mail or email and be notified of upcoming consultation opportunities.
If you're under 18 years of age you'll need your parent or guardian's permission to join.
Who can join
Brisbane residents of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life are encouraged to get involved.
Your input will help Council make more informed decisions about important Brisbane issues and help improve the city for everyone.
Your City Your Say newsletter
Members receive the newsletter three times a year (by mail or online). The newsletter explores a range of topics and projects across Brisbane.
