Show or hide My Neighbourhood map layers

Show and hide layers

Layers can be thought of as individual clear sheets of tracing paper on which different information is drawn. For example, one sheet of tracing paper may have the bus routes drawn on it, another may have the property boundaries. You can lay these imaginary sheets on top of each other and produce a map showing both property boundaries and bus routes. In a similar manner, My Neighbourhood contains two levels of layers that can be added to the map to show the required information.

Show layers

Check or uncheck the boxes to display specific layersThe layer visibility is controlled by tick boxes. To make the 1st layer visible in the map, tick the box next to the required layer name e.g. Council facilities.. This will display both the 1st and 2nd layer options for Council facilities..

If only some 2nd level layers are required to display on the map, untick the 1st level layer name e.g. Council facilities and then tick the boxes next to the required 2nd level layer name.

To hide a layer in the map untick the box next to the corresponding layer name.
