Update on Brisbane Sandbag Locations

Brisbane City Council wishes to advise that sandbags are currently available from the following locations:

• Zillmere Depot, 33 Jennings Street Zillmere
• South Depot, 48 Shamrock Rd, Darra
• Balmoral Depot, Redfern Street, Morningside
• Herbert Street, Lota
• SES Depot, Wilston Rd, Newmarket
• Einbunpin Lagoon Carpark, Brighton Road, Sandgate
• Baskerville Street, Sandgate
• Stafford Depot, 7 Brockman St, Kedron

Council is experiencing a high demand for sandbags across all depots and is advising that moderate wait times and queues may be experienced. Sandbags will be available into the evening and volunteers are still needed to keep up with demand.

Any volunteers able to lend a hand filling sandbags tonight, should register their details with Volunteering Queensland.

People keen to lend a hand are asked not to turn up at sandbag locations direct without being first instructed by Volunteering Queensland due to workplace health and safety requirements.
