Securing 2026 Operational Sustainability Review
Living in Brisbane 2026 is a bipartisan description of the future city that Brisbane City Council as an organisation, together with Brisbane’s political leadership, is charged to deliver.
The vision is strong, compelling and bold, and Council needs to be a professional, modern and efficient organisation in order to deliver it.
Therefore, in August to November 2009, an operational sustainability review was undertaken by external consultants A T Kearney.
The purpose of this review was to investigate opportunities for Council to sustainably reduce costs and improve processes in order to remain financially strong to deliver our vision.
The report makes a number of recommendations that will be considered by Civic Cabinet. Selected recommendations will then be investigated with a view to implementation over the next two to five years.
Considering these improvements will allow Council to better focus resources and continue delivering high quality services to the residents of Brisbane.
