Jamboree Ward
The Jamboree Ward comprises the suburbs of Jamboree Heights, Jindalee, Middle Park, Mt Ommaney, Riverhills, Sinnamon Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks, Westlake and parts of Corinda, Darra and Oxley.
Councillor Matthew Bourke
Matthew Bourke was elected as Councillor for the ward of Jamboree in 2008 as part of former Lord Mayor Campbell Newman's team.
Matthew Bourke lives in Jamboree Heights, and prior to becoming a Councillor, owned and operated his own small business in Sherwood.
He is an active member of the Centenary Suburbs Historical Society and has a long association with Sherwood Meals on Wheels.
Following the election, Matthew was appointed Deputy Chairperson of the newly formed Infrastructure Committee. Matthew also sits on the Neighbourhood Planning and Development Assessment Committee as well as the Environment, Parks and Sustainability Committee.
