The Toowong Ward comprises the suburbs of Toowong, Auchenflower, Milton and parts of Bardon, Brisbane, Kelvin Grove, Mt Coot-tha, Paddington, Red Hill and Taringa.
Councillor Peter Matic
Peter Matic has been the Councillor for Toowong since 2007 and has worked hard to make Toowong Ward a better place to live.
As a member of former Lord Mayor Campbell Newman's team, Peter has delivered improvements to local parks, roads and transport infrastructure.
Peter has a Bachelor of Arts (in Politics and Economics), Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws and is trained as a Solicitor. He has worked in private practice and the state government. Before his election to Council, Peter worked as a sole practitioner in Toowong.
Peter is a member of local community groups and is committed to the issues affecting local residents.
Councillor Matic is currently the Chairman of the Environment, Parks and Sustainability Committee.
