50 Plus Centre
Discover an array of affordable classes and activities for people aged over 50 at the 50 Plus Centre, located in the basement level of Brisbane City Hall, 64 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.
The 50 Plus Centre, is a not for profit association administered by volunteers of a similar age, and operates Monday to Friday, from 8am to 3pm (excluding public holidays). Most 50 Plus activities take the form of classes, with class fees paid directly to the class teacher.
All classes and activities aim to assist our members to maintain their independence, mobility, intellectual capacity, and social connections, learn something new or pursue their interests in the company of likeminded people. Over the years many wonderful friendships have been formed simply through laughter, conversation and taking part in a class together.
Some classes are suitable for beginners, while others are more suitable for people with specific knowledge, skill sets and experience. The requirements for each class are outlined in the description of each activity. Please phone the teacher before joining the class to make sure the class will be suitable for you.
Membership of the 50 Plus Centre is free for people over 50. For membership enquiries or further information, contact the 50 Plus Centre on 07 3403 4319 (9am-1pm) or via email at fiftypluscentrebrisbane@gmail.com
