Men's Shed Grants Program

ToolsThe Brisbane City Council Men's Shed Grant supports Men's Shed groups in Brisbane. This program provides a safe, supportive and friendly environment for men of all ages to gather, volunteer, work and seek fellowship with like-minded people. The grant provides funding for:

  • establishment and coordination expenses
  • facility improvements
  • equipment and material purchases

To locate a Men's Shed group, visit the Australian Men's Shed Association website.

The Men's Shed Grants Program runs once a year. The latest round for applications closed on Monday, 29 October 2012. Successful applicants will be notified in March 2013.

Funding

Funding can range from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $20,000 GST exclusive.

Guidelines 

Acquittal reports for successful applicants

If your application is successful, you will be required to complete an online acquittal form within 12 months of grant approval notification.

Grant recipients with overdue acquittal reports are not eligible to apply for grants.

If you believe your Men's Shed  group may have an outstanding report from a previous grant funded project, phone Council on 07 3403 8888 and ask to speak to the Grants Unit for advice.
