Queensland Urban Utilities
Queensland Urban Utilities is a new water and wastewater business. It was set up as a result of the state government's changes requiring councils in South East Queensland to establish three separate water businesses.
Working together
Queensland Urban Utilities delivers water and wastewater services to customers in Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset.
New separate water and sewerage account
Brisbane ratepayers now receive a water and wastewater account from Queensland Urban Utilities separate to their rate account. The first separate account was issued in early 2010.

- metered standpipes and fire hydrants
