Planetarium programs for schools
A visit to the Planetarium is an interesting way for students to learn about the universe.
Our astronomers provide services to help teach a broad range of astronomy topics.
Worksheets are available for students from years 4 to 12. Educational resources are also available in the Planetarium shop.
When visiting the Planetarium your students will:
- learn from the Display Zone while completing a worksheet
- have queries answered during question and answer time
- be educated and entertained in your pre-selected Cosmic Skydome show
The Planetarium’s flexible school program assists in covering Education Queensland’s Earth and Beyond strand of the science curriculum.
Cosmic Skydome show
The universe is recreated in the Planetarium’s Cosmic Skydome.
Students will be immersed in an educational and entertaining experience. The Planetarium astronomers will take you on a journey through space and recreate the night sky with Australia's first high-resolution, digital full-dome planetarium system installed in early 2010.
You can choose from one of our regular program topics or contact the Planetarium to find out about tailoring a show to suit your students’ specific requirements.
