Brisbane City Hall
Built between 1920 and 1930, the heritage-listed City Hall is seen as the heart of Brisbane and has been the backdrop to many cultural, social and civic events.
To conserve and restore this iconic building for future generations, City Hall closed in January 2010 for repair works, restoration and upgrades. City Hall will officially re-open in early 2013 with 12 function rooms and a number of important building improvements including greater accessibility and disability services and sustainability initiatives to help City Hall achieve a Green Star Rating (public building).
City Hall venues
City Hall will re-open in early 2013 with 12 function rooms, a large central kitchen and state-of-the-art event technology. The function rooms will be capable of hosting 20 to 1,600 guests for a variety of events including gala events, award dinners, wedding receptions, school formals, exhibitions, speech nights, business meetings, conferences and concerts. Tentative bookings can now be made, subject to availability. Read more.
