Sustainability declaration

The Queensland Government has introduced sustainable housing laws to improve water and energy efficiency.

From 1 January 2010, the seller of a house, townhouse or unit is required to provide a signed Sustainability Declaration. Where there is an advertisement for sale, information about where a copy of the completed Sustainability Declaration can be obtained must be provided. If the house is open for inspection the Sustainability Declaration must be on display.
