Urban Development Areas
The are four declared Urban Development Areas in Brisbane:
- Bowen Hills
- Northshore Hamilton
- Fitzgibbon
- Woolloongabba
Brisbane City Council does not assess development in these areas. Development is assessed by the Urban Land Development Authority (ULDA), which was set up by the State Government in 2007. The ULDA is an independent statutory body operating under the Urban Land Authority Act.
You must lodge development applications within these declared areas directly with the ULDA.
Find out if your property is in a declared Urban Development Area and how to submit an application by visiting the Urban Land Development Authority website.
