City Centre Master Plan Ideas Fiesta
The City Centre Master Plan Ideas Fiesta was an exciting three-week long series of free public events, from 11 April to 3 May 2013, aimed at:
- generating new ideas
- showcasing design concepts
- stimulating interest in imagining the future of Brisbane's city centre
Based around the principles of collaboration, the Ideas Fiesta was an important part of Brisbane City Council's engagement process for preparing the new City Centre Master Plan and will serve as a platform to effect change.
During Ideas Fiesta, Council brought together community, businesses, organisations, institutions and government at events including laneway events, street picnics, workshops, forums, live music and more. The events were held in a variety of city outdoor spaces, streets, laneways and venues.
Residents and businesses had the opportunity to get involved, be inspired, have fun and share their ideas for imagining the future of our city centre.
Your big ideas
Council received thousands of ideas for your city centre. We are currently reviewing these for our City Centre Master Plan and will provide a summary of ideas on this web page shortly.
