Subdivision and Development Guidelines
The Subdivision and Development Guidelines help you make sure that your development proposal complies with City Plan codes.
Do I need to use the guidelines?
Engineers, scientists and town planners who are involved with the preparation of development applications will need the guidelines.
The guidelines provide the design requirements, water quality management and engineering procedures to support both the industry and Council's needs.
You will need to read the guidelines along with the City Plan to ensure the development proposal complies with all relevant codes, provisions and policies.
You can download the:
Subdivision and Development Guidelines
Reference Specifications for Civil Engineering Works
Water and Sewerage Infrastructure Guidelines
Water Sensitive Urban Design Guidelines
You can purchase copies of all three documents from the Central Library and Customer Centre. The Subdivision and Development Guidelines are only available for purchase from this location.
Copies of the Standard Drawings and Reference Specifications may also be purchased from the Regional Business Centres.
When submitting your development application you will need the Standard Drawings and reference specifications, including annexures.
If you have any questions or feedback about the Subdivision and Development guidelines and related documents, or you would like to register your interest in receiving future update notifications, email the project team.
