King George Square Car Park
Brisbane City Council operates two carparks in the Brisbane CBD. They are located at King George Square and Wickham Terrace. King George Square is an underground carpark located between Ann and Adelaide Streets, Brisbane. Car park facilities include two entries, overnight parking and is open seven days a week.
Opening hours
King George Square Car Park is open:
- Monday to Thursday: 5.30am to midnight
- Friday to Sunday: 5.30am Friday to 11pm Sunday
- 24 hours Friday and Saturday nights
Extra Early Bird and Early Bird parking are no longer available in King George Square Car Park.
The car park may be opened 24 hours at Council's discretion.
Overnight parking is available.
Christmas Day and public holidays
The car park is closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday. It is open on other public holidays from 7.30am to 11pm unless otherwise advised.
Entry and exit points
King George Square Car Park has two entry points and one exit at:
- Roma Street - entry and exit
- Adelaide Street - entry only
Payment options
Coin and credit card can be used at all auto-pay stations. Credit cards can also be used at all car exit gates.

| Pass cards | Monthly $500 per month. Half yearly and yearly cards are no longer available. For All Cards:
To check on pass card availability or to apply for a pass card, call Council on 07 3403 8888. ** Written notification (minimum of 2 weeks in advance) is required for suspension or cancellation. Minimum period of suspension is 2 weeks. Cancelled cards must be returned.** |
After hours release | $50 including parking fee. Phone Southern Cross Protection on 1300 136 102 for vehicle release. Security guards do not carry change. If a receipt is require it will be posted. |
| Electric Car Recharge Station | Recharge your electric car for free in King George Square Car Park. Specially marked bays are located on Level ‘B’ for this free Council service. Customers can now park their car in the city and recharge in one convenient location. King George Square Car Park is the only car park in the city with this facility which promotes the reduction of CO2 and pollution. Drivers of full electric and hybrid vehicles park for half the casual parking fee. |
