CityGlider services
The CityGlider buses provide high-frequency bus transport between the West End ferry terminal and the Teneriffe ferry terminal at Newstead. The expansion of the CityGlider network in the 2012 - 2013 financial year will also see high-frequency buses travelling between Paddington and Stones Corner.
The CityGlider service links to the CityCycle bike hire scheme. CityCycle provides bike hire stations near CityGlider stops. This enables access to the new bus service from Teneriffe, CBD, South Brisbane and West End.
The CityGlider and CityCycle schemes are part of Council's commitment to reduce traffic congestion and improve public transport across the inner city. In addition to CityCat and CityFerry services, both schemes also link to:
- busway and rail connections
- CBD attractions
- new residential developments
Features
The CityGlider bus service includes:
- pre-paid ticketing and dual-door boarding for faster entry and exit
- a fast and regular timetable with buses every five minutes during peak times and every 10 to 15 minutes off-peak
- 24-hour service on Friday and Saturday and 18-hour service from Sunday to Thursday

New Maroon CityGlider
The Maroon CityGlider is designed to service the Logan Rd growth corridor at Stones Corner through to Paddington.
This new route will start in the 2012 - 2013 financial year and will link to some of Brisbane's premier sporting and entertainment destinations including the Gabba, QPAC and South Bank south of the river, through to Paddington, Caxton St and Suncorp Stadium in the north.
This new route will provide direct, high frequency suburb-to-suburb travel which bypasses the city centre providing a faster travel time. It will also deliver additional capacity along the inner part of a long-haul public transport route to meet demand for services in this area. Providing this additional capacity on the inner route allows resources on other routes to be better utilised and potentially diverted to additional service initiatives.
