Brisbane City Council invests in major transport infrastructure projects, local road projects and public transport initiatives to tackle congestion in Brisbane.

The Riverwalk is one of Brisbane's key connections between New Farm and the city centre. The January 2011 floods caused a section of the Riverwalk to wash away downstream. CityGlider project

CityGlider is a new rapid transit bus service that will provide more efficient and reliable buses from Teneriffe, CBD, South Brisbane and West End.

CityCat terminal expansion project

Council is rebuilding flood-damaged ferry terminals, upgrading the West End terminal and constructing two new CityCat terminals.

Sherwood Road bus depot

Council is preparing to build a new bus depot on Sherwood Road, Rocklea. It will be an environmentally friendly bus depot that improves local bus services.
