About the project
The project aims to improve traffic queues at the roundabout. Construction is now complete. The improvement at the roundabout is an interim solution which involved:
- extending the left turn lane from Lemke Road to Telegraph Road by approximately 70 metres
- installing a new indented bus stop
- installing a new footpath on the eastern side of Lemke Road connecting the existing path to the new bus stop
The intersection improvement commenced in mid November 2010 and was due for completion in January 2011. Due to weather delays the project was completed in late March 2011.
Brisbane City Council would like to thank residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and cooperation whilst works were carried out on this important improvement in the road network.
