Toll payment options
For all travel on the Go Between Bridge on or after 24 December 2013, visit the go via website.
For travel up to and including 23 December 2013, check the information below or visit FLOW Tolling.
The Go Between Bridge is a fully electronic toll bridge. This means that there are no toll booths along the bridge where you can stop to pay cash. There are several easy ways to pay your tolls for travel on the Go Between Bridge.
FLOW Tolling recommends a tag or a pass for use on the Go Between Bridge. If you have an existing tolling account or electronic tolling device, your trips will be registered as per usual. If not, you can find the best tolling option on the FLOW Tolling website or by phoning 13 13 57.
Find also what you need to do if you travelled over the Go Between Bridge without payment.
A tag is a small electronic device that is attached to the front windscreen of your vehicle.
If your vehicle has a registered tag, the details of the trip are recorded and billed to your tag account. All tags that are currently available in Australia will work on the Go Between Bridge.
If your vehicle doesn't have a tag, your number plate is matched against accounts to see whether there is any other payment method arrangement anywhere in Australia. If no payment arrangement is made, details of your vehicle are held for three days to allow you to pay the toll without an additional administration fee charged.
If no payment is received within three days, the compliance process is undertaken.
It is important to install your tag correctly in your vehicle. If your tag is installed correctly, your tag will beep as the vehicle passes the tolling point. This will tell you that the trip has been registered with the tolling system.
If your tag doesn’t beep at a tolling point, the payment will not be deducted from your tag account. Contact the tag provider immediately to avoid being issued a notice with additional administration fees.
A pass is a way of paying for your tolls without having an account with a tolling provider. A pass uses video tolling which means your number plate details are recorded at each toll point. The toll plus an image processing fee per trip is charged to the pass.
For more information, visit the FLOW Tolling website or phone 13 13 57.
Account without a tag (also known as video account)
If you don't want to install a tag, your other option is to set up a video account.
When you travel through a toll point, an image is recorded of your registration plate number. This image is then matched to your account. The toll, plus the image processing fee per trip will be deducted from your account.
