Brisbane Strategic Transport Model

Brisbane City Council and Department Transport and Main Roads developed a strategic transport model called the Brisbane Strategic Transport Model (BSTM). This model tests the impact on the road network of various transport projects and policy proposals. The current version of the BSTM is version 6-0.

This model is available free to use on a non-commercial basis for the benefit of the metropolitan area of Brisbane. The data is supplied in EMME3 format with scripts and documentation.

Transport Plan Demographic Model

Council has developed population, dwelling and demographic forecasts and economic activity and employment forecasts for the Brisbane Long Term Infrastructure Plan (BLTIP).

The BLTIP Population and Economic Forecasts have been combined to create the Transport Plan Demographic Model (TPDM). This has been formatted for transport planning in the BSTM.
 
The TPDM is available for free for use on a non-commercial basis. The data is supplied in Microsoft Excel format.

How to apply

Download and complete a:

Send two completed and signed original copies to:

Once approved, Council will return one original fully executed Deed with the Model on a CD.
