Brisbane City Council has commenced construction of the upgrade of the culvert under Rafting Ground Road at Brookfield (near Willunga Street) to improve the road's immunity to flooding and increase safety for all road users. The road will be closed to vehicles on Monday 16 November for approximately four months, weather and construction conditions permitting. Motorists will need to use alternative routes such as Moggill and Brookfield Roads. Barricaded access through the construction site for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders will be available at all times. Cyclists and horse riders are asked to dismount before travelling through this area. For more information on these works, please call 1800 199 757.
