Brisbane City Council offers residents of all ages and abilities an exciting and diverse range of recreation programs. These Council initiatives encourage residents from all walks of life to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.
Brisbane will be your backdrop, with its many parks, pools, waterways and venues. Council offers a range of options, from fun and relaxing activities such as meditation and Chinese painting, to high energy activities like abseiling, dancing and exercise classes.

Active Parks
Active Parks offers you a chance to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle in Brisbane's great outdoors. There are activities available for everyone including tree climbing, fitness classes and kayaking. Check out what's on offer in the Active Parks program. Gonewalking
Gonewalking groups are led by trained volunteer Walk Organisers and offer a range of walk types including parents with prams, bush walks, health and fitness or leisure walks. Walking groups vary in pace from slow to medium fast to suit your pace.
Real Adventure Women (RAW)
The Real Adventure Women (RAW) program provides women 16 years and over with a wide range of recreation activities. RAW encourages all women, regardless of fitness and location, to step outside of their comfort zone and try something new and adventurous. Discover an activity to inspire you in the RAW program.
Growing Older and Living Dangerously (GOLD)
The GOLD program provides free or low-cost activities for residents 50 years and over. Gold 'n' Kids (GnK) activities are also available. This program is for grandparents and their grandchildren, aged four years and over. It enables both generations to enjoy participating in activities together.

Chill Out
Get Wild

Black Diamonds
