Council crews continue the clean-up

Brisbane City Council is continuing to prioritise the removal of storm waste and the re-opening of key city assets following last Thursday’s storm.

Crews are working to remove fallen trees and debris from Council parks, and have now re-opened eight parks, including:

  • Bowman Park, Bardon
  • Guyatt Park, St Lucia
  • Captain Burke Park, Kangaroo Point
  • Jacaranda Park, Yeronga
  • J. F. O’Grady Memorial Park, Fairfield
  • Robinson Park, Fairfield
  • Hyde Road Park, Yeronga
  • Eric Crescent Park, Annerley.

Council is still working at another 18 impacted parks across the city and is working to have these parks returned to normal as soon as possible.

All major roadways in Brisbane’s local government area are now open, with some debris on road shoulders and footpaths. Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists should exercise caution and avoid storm debris.
