Local Business Partnership Initiative

""The Local Business Partnership Initiative (LBPI) enables business owners and operators to collaborate with Brisbane City Council to identify opportunities that will improve investment and create sustainable local economies. Council will collaborate with local businesses through a process of online surveys and ongoing consultation sessions.

The initiative aligns with outcomes identified in the Brisbane 2022 New World City Action Plan. This action plan sets out key economic priorities to support long-term economic growth, including developing and enhancing Brisbane’s unique business precincts.

Wynnum Local Business Partnership Initiative

Wynnum is the third location to participate in the LBPI program. Under the program, Council will seek to work with the Wynnum business community to encourage and identify opportunities to enhance and activate the Wynnum business area through our Local Business Partnership Initiative.

If you own or run a business in Wynnum, complete the short survey to let us know what you consider the key opportunities to improve the local economy and business conditions in your area. The survey is now open until 6 December 2017.

Sandgate Local Business Partnership Initiative

Council has worked with the Sandgate business community for the Local Business Partnership Initiative. Council held a series of workshops and one-on-one sessions with business owners in the area and are creating a destination action plan to be released soon. The LBPI is supported by Council's recent activities in the area including free Wi-Fi, foreign-language wayfinding signage, CCTV and the sponsorship of the Sandgate Sunset Run.

You can register to be notified about Sandgate LBPI related activities.

Stones Corner Local Business Partnership Initiative

Brisbane City Council worked with the Stones Corner business community to create the first Local Business Partnership Initiative strategy in 2016. After a series of workshops and research Council collaborated with the local business community to develop an action plan to help establish Stones Corner as a vibrant, diverse urban village.

The Stones Corner Local Business and Destination Plan focuses on transforming Stones Corner into a thriving business precinct. The plan outlines a series of actions which local businesses will implement, including presenting festivals and events, improving visitor signage and increasing community engagement.
