Seventeen Mile Rocks | Riverside park, cafés, and more

Loved for its riverside parkland, Seventeen Mile Rocks has graduated from industrial hub to leafy suburbia with terrific options for a fun-filled family day out and hidden gastronomical gems just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Fuel up at this local favourite

Nestled among the shops opposite the Homemaker Centre in Sinnamon Park, Two Teaspoons is a gem of a café that delivers on its promise of great coffee. With an all-day breakfast menu, this airy cafe offers a cosy vibe and an irresistible selection of freshly made treats to power-up weary shoppers and locals alike.

Toy-mania

If you’ve got kids or have a birthday boy or girl to shop for, you’re sure to find the perfect gift at Knock on Wood Toys. The Australian owned and operated store on Seventeen Mile Rocks Road is filled to the brim with wooden toys hand-picked from across the world.

Park-life

Perfect for kids of all ages, Rocks Riverside Park in Seventeen Mile Rocks offers a jam-packed family day out. Let the kids run wild in the water-play area, two playgrounds and green open spaces perfect for ball games, kites and more, while you sit back and enjoy the sprawling shady spaces by the Brisbane River.

The waterpark features are awesome for little adventurers navigating the miniature river rapids, while older kids will whiz through the sky on the flying fox before scaling the nautical-inspired playground.

Industrial artifacts and sculptures are also scattered throughout the park, providing an interesting talking point for the kids and nodding to Rocks Riverside Park’s history as a commercial farm and cement quarry.

Bust a move...

With more than 8000 m2 of open grassed space and a half-sized basketball court, Rocks Riverside Park is also a great exercise go-to and is regularly used by local fitness trainers and boot camps.

If you prefer to exercise indoors, Seventeen Mile Rocks and Sinnamon Park also boast plenty of gyms, a yoga wellness centre and even a martial arts academy.
