Grow It Local Spring Festival 2021

Costa Georgiadis

Calling all aspiring growers, food lovers, and waste warriors – the Grow it Local Spring Festival will run until 30 November with a line-up of free, live digital workshops with some of Australia’s favourite gardening experts.

Grow It Local, supported by Brisbane City Council, is on a mission to get more residents growing, sharing, and eating locally grown food - no matter how small your backyard, deck, or windowsill is.

The festival is a great way to connect with local growers, learning something new, and get inspired to start growing at home. By growing locally and wasting less food, you'll also be helping to reduce your food carbon footprint and food waste to landfill and also save a little on your hip pocket along the way.
