Cleaner Suburbs Awards
Brisbane City Council developed the Cleaner Suburb Awards (previously known as the Cleaner Communities Brisbane Awards) to champion the achievements of residents and groups who work together for a clean, green, sustainable city. Council has partnered with CitySmart to deliver the awards.
Cleaner Suburb Awards winners
A panel of industry experts judge the awards, except the People's Choice Litter Prevention Award which is voted on by the public.
The 2018 winners were announced at a ceremony hosted by the Lord Mayor at Brisbane City Hall on Wednesday 17 October.

Nominations for Cleaner Suburbs Awards 2019
Do you know an individual or community group who is working hard to create a clean and green Brisbane? You can nominate them for the Cleaner Suburbs Awards 2019. Nominations are now open and close 26 July 2019. Visit the Cleaner Suburbs website for more information.
There are seven categories and 11 Cleaner Suburbs Awards:
- Councillors' Clean Green Choice Award
- Litter Prevention Award (contains four awards)
- Waste Innovation Award
- Brisbane's Clean Green Award
- People's Choice Litter Prevention Award
- Clean Schools Award (contains two awards)
- Outstanding Clean Green Award.
