Bus service social distancing measures remain

Brisbane City Council wishes to advise that all Council buses will maintain additional coronavirus social distancing measures, in line with State Government directions.

All bus passengers must continue to board through the rear door (and centre door on articulated buses) and the front passenger seat remains cordoned off, to prevent the transmission of coronavirus.

Boarding from the front doors will be available for passengers requiring assistance and to maintain disability access.

Passengers will still be required to touch on and off with their go cards using the electronic readers adjacent to the rear doors. Cash payments on bus services will not be available, in line with social distancing measures.

Passengers are encouraged to continue to practise safe hygiene when travelling on any Brisbane public transport, such as social distancing and washing and/or sanitising hands.

Brisbane City Council is working closely with the Australian Government and Queensland Health and is following their expert health advice to help minimise the transmission of coronavirus.

As updates are available, they will be included on Council’s website. For more information visit www.brisbane.qld.gov.au or phone Council on (07) 3403 8888.
