Mount Gravatt East Swimming Pool to reopen

Brisbane City Council advises that Mount Gravatt East pool will reopen on Thursday 25 June following maintenance work undertaken during the coronavirus shut down. The site will reopen under the approved Aquatic industry COVID Management plan.

A further 9 pools are currently open to the public.

All 22 of Council’s pools closed on 23 March under a State Government coronavirus directive.

As per normal Brisbane City Council pools operations, each Council pool will be tested by external agencies prior to any reopening, and tested monthly while open to the public.

The pool operators at each site have increased the sanitation and crowd management measures in response to the COVID Safe Plan. 

Patrons should contact their local pool for details any site-specific operating conditions. Contact details for each pool can be found on Council’s website.

The lessees of the following pools are considering their winter programs, to align with Stage 3 of the State Government’s roadmap to easing restrictions, which is planned for 13th July.
