Council pools to reopen

Brisbane City Council advises that Langlands Pool has now reopened, and another 7 Council pools will reopen on Saturday 13 June after State Government approval of an industry COVID Safe Plan.

Langlands Pool reopened on 10 June and The Valley Pool reopened on 3 June.

All 22 of Council’s pools closed on 23 March under a State Government coronavirus directive.

Each Council pool will be tested by external agencies prior to any reopening, and tested monthly while open to the public.

The pool operators at each site have increased the sanitation and crowd management measures in response to the COVID Safe Plan. 

Patrons should contact their local pool for details any site-specific operating conditions. Contact details for each pool can be found on Council’s website.

The lessees of the following pools are considering their winter programs, to align with Stage 3 of the State Government’s roadmap to easing restrictions, which are planned for 13th July.
