Flood resilience projects

Brisbane City Council investigates, designs and constructs drainage schemes to relieve flooding. Use this page to find out about current flood resilience projects, as well as ones completed in the current financial year.

Current projects

Stormwater infrastruture

  • Fortitude Valley - Bridge Street sewer realignment
    These works are in preparation for new stormwater drainage to be installed in the middle of Bridge Street in the future.
  • Spring Hill - Barry Parade drainage works
    Improving flood immunity for properties in the Warren Street, Barry Parade and Wickham Street precinct.
  • Teneriffe - Commercial Road drainage upgrade
    Improving the drainage system by increasing capacity and minimising potential flooding impacts.
