Community composting hubs to reopen

Brisbane City Council wishes to advise its community composting hubs will reopen from 13 June 2020. Participants are advised to practice social distancing and to wash their hands before and after accessing the hub.

To ensure the safety of volunteers and residents, and to abide by State Government regulations, only 20 people will be permitted at the community composting hub at any one time.

Council continues to offer a digital neighborhood of experiences and activities on its website, which includes information on organic recycling methods you can do at home, regardless of where you live.

We encourage all residents to continue to practice safe social distancing and hygiene while using Council facilities and participating in Council events.

Brisbane City Council is working closely with the Australian Government and Queensland Health and is following their expert health advice to help minimise the transmission of coronavirus.

As updates are available, they will be included on our Coronavirus: Council updates and impacts page. For more information phone Council on 07 3403 8888.
