Updates to Resource Recovery Centres

Brisbane City Council wishes to advise resource recovery centres (RRC) remain open to the public, with enhanced safety and social distancing measures in place.

Council’s RRCs remain open as a critical part of the city’s waste management process, however the following measures are in place:

  • all essential visitors and staff should practise social distancing, use hand sanitiser and regularly wash their hands
  • waste vouchers are still accepted; however staff are requesting customers to use contactless payment where possible.

These enhanced safety measures may result in increased wait times.

Council appreciates the community’s understanding and patience while we continue to work through this crisis together.
