Healthy and Physical Activity Grants 2019-20 recipients

The following Healthy and Physical Activity Grant projects were approved in 2019-20.

Successful recipients receive funding for projects to increase participation in community sport, recreation and physical activity in Brisbane.

Circa Contemporary Circus Ltd

A free, eight week program where participants will learn the fundamentals of acrobatics with Circa trainers.


Fight4Balance Ltd

A weekly Boxfit and Balance Resilience Program adapted to the needs of adolescents aged 12-17 years with mild-to-moderate learning and perceptual disabilities.


Fishability QLD Incorporated

A rotational monthly occurrence of recreational fishing programs held at different fishing locations around Brisbane with accessible facilities


Mayne Harriers Amateur Athletic Club Inc.

An Introduction to Athletics Program for adults that will provide technical skill development and encourage participation in sport and exercise.


Para Ice Hockey QLD Inc

Sledge (Para) ice-hockey learn to play and development sessions. The sessions are open to adult participants with or without physical disabilities.


Queensland Blind Cricket Association Inc

An expansion of the current cricket program facilitated at Yeronga. The expansion will include building the capacity of other local Brisbane cricket clubs (sighted clubs) to run programs for school aged legally blind players.


Sherwood Football Club Limited

School holiday AFL healthy and physical activity camps for girls and boys aged six and up.
