School Sport and Recreation Facility Upgrade Program 2018-19 grant recipients

In 2019, Brisbane City Council and Education Queensland funded nine state schools to the total value of $196,066.88 to improve their sport and recreation facilities via the School Sport and Recreation Facility Upgrade Program.

Norris Road State School Replace the existing concrete cricket pitch and upgrade the cricket practice nets to support junior club and school cricket at Norris Road State School, Bracken Ridge. $15,907
Oxley State School Install new artificial turf on the cricket pitch and in the cricket nets, and extend the cricket net run ups to support school and community cricket at Oxley State School, Oxley. $6036
The Gap State High School Install a multi-purpose shade structure adjacent to the school oval to support school and community sport and recreation at The Gap State High School, The Gap. $30,000
Wavell State High School Upgrade the existing pool facilities, including starting blocks and lane anchor ropes and poles, to support school, club and community swimming at Wavell State High School, Wavell Heights. $24,699.88
