Black Diamonds Program
Brisbane City Council's Black Diamonds Program provides a range of free or low-cost activities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in Brisbane, with a focus on young people. The program aims to increase participation in activities that have a strong focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture learning.
How to get involved
Black Diamonds has a number of programs that are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to participate in. These include:
The Black Diamonds Program holds at least two camps per year for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to participate in. The type of camps varies each year, but in the past has included:
- educational camps
- leadership skill development camps
- self-esteem building camps
- sporting, health or fitness camps
- cultural camps.

Community Partnership Assistance Scheme
The Black Diamonds Community Partnership Assistance Scheme provides support to community organisations to deliver activities and projects in their communities. The type of activities and events funded in the past include:
- family/community days
- personal development workshops
- skill building workshops
- sporting, cultural and recreational events
- health and well-being events
- arts, crafts and cultural exhibitions.
