Council library collection

Council Libraries provides a small specialised browsing collection of books and magazines at New Farm Library, with a larger collection distributed and integrated into the general collection at all branches.

The New Farm collection includes fiction and non-fiction print materials and began with a personal collection donated in 2006 by a group of women who had formed a small library of lesbian material.

The collection includes books relevant and responsive to the interests and needs of the gay, lesbian and transgender community in Brisbane. Resources include popular, new material and enduring works.
