Lord Mayor's Seniors Christmas Parties

The Lord Mayor’s Seniors Christmas Parties are an annual tradition, inviting Brisbane seniors to celebrate the festive season with a program of Christmas shows and a high tea.

The Christmas Parties present a variety of sing-along traditional Christmas songs performed by local entertainers.

Tickets for the 2018 Lord Mayor’s Seniors Christmas Parties will go on sale to Brisbane residents from 9am Tuesday 2 October 2018 to Friday 7 December 2018.

Tickets for non-Brisbane Local Government Area residents will be able for purchase from Monday 22 October 2018 to Friday 7 December 2018.

Event information

There will be two events held daily from Monday 3 December to Friday 7 December 2018 at Brisbane City Hall, 64 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.

Tickets are $5 (this includes a donation to the Lord Mayor's Charitable Trust).

Purchase of tickets

Bookings are essential. Maximum number of ten (10) tickets available per transaction. Tickets purchased online can be mailed by post, printed at home (online purchase only), or can be collected at QPAC prior to the day or from the Brisbane City Hall box office on the day of the event.

Tickets will be released for sale in two phases:

Phase 1 - Available to Brisbane residents who live within a Brisbane Local Government Area postcode.

Tickets for Brisbane residents go on sale 9am Tuesday 2 October to Friday 7 December 2018 through QTIX by phone on 13 62 46 and online via qtix.com.au.

Phase 2 - Available to the general public seniors (subject to availability)

Limited general public tickets, including residents from outside the Brisbane Local Government Area, go on sale from 9am Monday 22 October to 1pm Friday 7 December through QTIX by phone and online.

Tickets can also be purchased at the Brisbane City Hall Box Office from 8.30am to 1.30pm on event days and are subject to availability.

Phone QTIX on 13 62 46. When connected to an operator state the event as Lord Mayor’s Seniors Christmas Parties.

QTIX opening hours are Monday to Saturday (9am to 8.30pm AEST). QTIX will have a list of Brisbane suburbs to verify residency in the Brisbane Local Government Area.

Tickets are available for purchase from 9am Tuesday 2 October to Friday 7 December 2018.

In person

Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC)

Purchase tickets from the main QPAC Box Office located on the first level through the main entrance at the front of the QPAC building (facing Melbourne Street).

The QPAC Box Office is open from 9am-8.30pm Monday to Saturday (closed on Public Holidays). Times vary on Sunday based on performances at QPAC.

Tickets are available for purchase from 9am Tuesday 2 October to Friday 7 December 2018. 

Brisbane City Hall

QTIX Box Office staff will be at Brisbane City Hall from 8.30am-1.30pm on event days Monday 3 to Friday 7 December 2018.

Tickets may also be purchased/collected on the following days from the QTIX Box Office staff at Brisbane City Hall between 10.30am-1.30pm:

  • Tuesday 6 November
  • Tuesday 13 November
  • Tuesday 20 November
  • Tuesday 27 November (tickets available for purchase by senior residents from outside the Brisbane Local Government Area on this date).

General information

Seat booking options

Each ticket will specify either an auditorium or a balcony seat. Balcony is not accessible for patrons with mobility requirements. Catering for balcony guests will occur in the Sandgate and Sherwood rooms. Please note balcony is reserved seating.

Mobility request

Patrons with a walking aid (i.e. wheelchair or walkers) will be allocated a seat downstairs in the Main Auditorium.

Mobility requests cannot be accommodated online and are only possible by phoning QTIX on 13 62 46.

Transport options

Drop off

There will be strictly no vehicle access to Brisbane City Hall via the ramp on King George Square for this event. This will include taxis and charter buses.

A pick-up and drop-off zone will be established on King George Square with access via the Ann Street side of Brisbane City Hall. Please note this zone can only accommodate cars, taxis and mini buses. 

The drop off zone is exclusively for dropping off passengers to the event. It is a no standing zone and drivers are required to remain in their vehicle, unless assisting passengers.

For bus parking, we suggest the Ann Street bus park, just past Brisbane City Hall on the left hand side. For alternate bus parking in the city please advise guests visit Traffic and transport

Car parking

Paid, underground parking is available at Council’s King George Square Car Park. Please phone 07 3403 8888 for more information.

Vehicle height limit for this car park is 1.93 meters. Patrons with vehicles exceeding this height limit can park at Wilson Parking which also operates a paid car park close to Brisbane City Hall at 145 Ann Street.
