Youth programs

Brisbane City Council is committed to delivering inclusive programs that make a difference for young people who live, work, play or study in Brisbane. These programs give young people the ability to have their voices heard, be involved in activities and events and celebrate their contribution to the community.

Council offers creative endeavours, school-based leadership initiatives and active and healthy programs that aim to engage, empower and celebrate young people.

Lord Mayor's Youth Advisory Council

Lord Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (LMYAC) delegates act as representatives of their school and community, and are a voice for raising issues or sharing ideas that affect young people.

Student Environmental Leadership Network

The Green Heart Schools Student Environmental Network (SELN) proudly works with students and schools to empower young leaders to create change in their school community.

Young people can beat the school holiday boredom, make new friends and develop new skills by taking part in free or low-cost activities with our Chillout program.

Lord Mayor's Young and Emerging Artists Fellowships
